Reservation Policies
- Payment in full is required to secure a reservation. Reservations can be made online or over the phone
- Walk-in rentals are available on a first come first served basis
- Valid photo ID is required to pick up equipment
- Rental days are measured in 24 hour increments. For example, a one day rental picked up at 9 am must be returned the following day at 9 am.
- 4 hour rentals must be returned the same day, accordingly the latest time a 4 hour rental can be picked up is at 1 pm.
- Cancellation requests must be made via email - please email denveroutdooradventure@gmail.com with your name and reservation to cancel.
- Cancellations made more than 72 hours in advance will receive a refund
- Cancellations made 72 - 24 hours in advance will receive a credit for a future rental or outing
- Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance will receive no credit or refund
- The above cancellation guidelines are in effect regardless of when a reservation was made
- Private outings must be cancelled at least 7 days in advance to receive a refund
- Outings or rentals cancelled at our discretion for weather or other unforeseen circumstances will receive credit for a future outing or rental
- Credits for cancellations are good for one year from the date of your cancelled reservation. Please email to use a credit.
- Credits for cancellations cannot be used for reservations on Memorial Day weekend, the week of 4th of July or Labor Day weekend
- Generally, a pick up truck or vehicle with a roof rack or cross bars is needed to transport rigid paddle boards, rigid kayaks, or canoes
- We do offer deliveries to Sloan's Lake. We also can often deliver to Cherry Creek and Big Soda Lake
- There are a number of great lakes to paddle on located within 30 minutes of our office location!
- Sloan's Lake - 10 minutes from our rental office. We also offer deliveries to Sloan's Lake
- Cherry Creek Reservoir - located in Cherry Creek State Park is about 20 minutes from our rental office
- Bear Creek Lake Park - about 20 minutes from our rental office, contains Big Soda Lake and Bear Creek Lake
- Chatfield Reservoir - located in Chatfield State Park is about 30 minutes from our location. This is the largest lake in the Denver metro area with the largest no wake zone
- We transport the equipment to the launch site for the Sunset Paddle at Sloan's Lake, Mountain Glow Paddle at Chatfield, and Paddle Pikes Peak. You just show up at the launch!
- Weather - we monitor the weather throughout the day. Weather conditions throughout the metro area can be scattered and forecasts often change quickly. Please plan to arrive according to your meeting instructions. We do not make cancellation decisions until about an hour before the outing and sometimes we delay the launch rather than cancel.
- What to wear - please wear comfortable clothing that you do not mind getting wet. Something like shorts and a t-shirt is perfect. Please bring a light jacket if you tend to get cold, by the time we get off the water, the temperatures are often a little chillier than when we launched. Wearing shoes that are easy to slip off and can get wet will make launching and getting out of your paddle craft much more easy.
